Boris

We met through the recommendation of a mutual friend who was not in town to introduce us.

I based a character in a story off of Boris.

BorisBoris

He is one of three people in a travelling Circus of shape-shifting creatures. They move through a deep dark forest one day and take a break to frolick as animals through the trees. A hunter shoots the one of them who shifted into a deer dead and takes her away (not realised by the other two). That evening upon finding the truth they set out for revenge.

lights off

The character isn't meant to be mean or a villain, but a supernatural creature caught in a horribly violent circumstance. He is charismatic and not actually wishing to do people harm but reacts off of great emotion and then fully commits himself to revenge out of loyalty to his dead friend.

If Boris were to have a place in my personal tarot deck, he would be an entire suit in one of the minor arcana, best representing that answers come from the achievement and maintenance of balance. He has the range to carry such a responsibility: One must be versatile, open, and carry the load on both shoulders - to be fair. Life is good, life is bad, life is life: enjoy it for what it is.
