A video construct of the very moment I first heard the song while on
the wall to the side of me was a giant video art piece flickering. I just
happened to be doing some shooting at the same time and saw
something to it in the camera. Here I was in this room having a
moment where the music was communicating to me, the video on
the wall was communicating, the atmosphere was communicating
and it all felt like a memory already. 
This video follows Odi Et Amo as part of an ongoing project where
I pick something that touches me and reimagine it into a video.

The aging formerly rich daughter of a formerly famous actress who
reminisces about her mother feeding her tranquilizers as a kid to
keep her out of the way and who later goes through a path of plas-
tic surgery, health foods, porn movie making... all to find out who
she is.
A collage of memories in form of film leaders, old found footage,
pills composited onto clouds in a tranquilizer trip as experienced

the  demons of her soul and the demons of the night keep her awake.
About lying in bed with the eyes closed waiting for the dream state.

HOLLYWOOD UNDER THE KNIFE. The Opiates is the latest project from
the  "queen of electronic soul" Billie Ray Martin, together with Norwe-
gian musician Robert Solheim.
